James Gerrity
brings nearly 20 years of supervisory, human resource development and
operations management experience into discussing coaching approaches involving
empathy tactics, as well as a system involving business analytics, engagement and collaboration so as to innovate and anticipate together. James has a
strong desire to help people succeed, so he enjoys taking part in coaching as
well as the staff development process. The internet and social networking provides opportunities to share
and learn from each other in a very flexible format as we discuss these topics.
Currently, James
is a Business Service Manager for a national wealth management firm, where he has been in various managerial positions with the
organization and its predecessor firms since 2000. Just knowing the ins and outs of the financial
process isn’t sufficient, as he feels developing and sustaining relationships,
especially through 360 feedback, is critical to succeeding together today, and
he has been active in coaching and developing staff over the past two decades. He
is also working on a PhD in Business Administration at NCU (specializing in Human Resource Management), recently earned his second master's degree at Walsh College (an MBA to
complete a MSF/MBA dual degree), and enjoys applying the Jesuit values picked
up from his undergrad at the University of Detroit Mercy. He currently resides
in Southfield, Michigan with his wife Janice and an overly energetic papillon
Pappy, and enjoys ghost hunting and visiting ghost towns out west.
